Let’s make the dinner tasty with fake cutlets that we will cook without meat, I will then prepare these in less than 15 minutes.

If there is a dish that no one can say no to, without a shadow of a doubt, it is cutlets. My kids go crazy for them but sometimes I prepare them without meat, they don’t even notice because these are so good that they will exceed all expectations.

This is a really simple recipe to make that I learned from my grandmother, she also prepared apples when I was a child and thus managed to make me taste a particular food that I didn’t really like to eat.

Meatless cutlets recipe

The dish I am about to suggest is really very simple and will considerably change your way of approaching the table, allowing children too to eat a food that they are usually not happy to taste just like you did when you were little. These are cutlets made with aubergines, for which we only have to follow the recipe I suggest:

Three purple aubergines,

Flour,

bread crumbs,

parmesan,

3 eggs,

a pinch of salt.

This is how I prepare my fake cutlets

Let’s start preparing the cutlets by taking the aubergines and completely freeing them from the peel, then cut the slices about half a centimeter thick and place them in a colander, placing a bowl of water on top. We will need this weight to make the aubergine expel the excess liquid from the water. We wait half an hour and move on to making our cutlets.

In one bowl we place the three eggs which must be whisked together, in another the flour and in yet another the breadcrumbs mixed with the parmesan.

We bread our cutlets starting with the flour, then move on to the egg and complete with the mix of breadcrumbs and parmesan. We carry out this operation for all our cutlets which then need to be transferred to the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Spent the necessary time we can choose whether to cook our cutlets in the oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutesin an air fryer at 200 degrees for 20 minutes, or fried in boiling oil until golden brown.

When they are ready it would be on the table with a side dish of vegetables or accompanied by French fries… I assure you that they will hardly notice the difference but in any case they will gladly eat them because of how good they will be!
