Let’s start by preparing the dough for the rolls. Take a bowl and add the flour with baking powder, salt, sugar, vanilla bean and lemon peel and mix the ingredients well. In a separate bowl, mix the soft butter with the beaten eggs. Then add the mixture to the flour mix and mix again. We form a smooth and compact dough, wrap it in transparent film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about an hour.

In a bowl, whisk the soft butter with the icing sugar until you get a smooth cream. We gradually add the poppy seeds and mix well. Add two tablespoons of cold water and mix everything well.

In a saucepan, heat the icing sugar and butter until melted. Add the lemon juice and mix. Let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly. We remove from the fire and let it cool down.
